Are you F-Gas certified?+
Yes. MHC Construction is an F-Gas registered company under the retained EU 517/2014 regulations. Every engineer working on refrigerant circuits holds a current F-Gas Cat 1 qualification, and we issue certification for every install and service.
Do you install air conditioning in homes as well as businesses?+
Both. We work across commercial premises (offices, shops, salons, gyms, server rooms) and domestic properties (bedrooms, home offices, conservatories, loft conversions) throughout Lincoln and Lincolnshire.
How much does air conditioning cost to install?+
A typical single-room wall-mounted split system installed starts from around £1,800 + VAT. Multi-split systems and ceiling cassettes for commercial use are quoted per project after a free site survey.
How often should an AC unit be serviced?+
We recommend an annual service for domestic systems and twice-yearly for commercial systems in heavy use. Manufacturer warranties typically require documented annual servicing to remain valid.
Do you carry out statutory leak checks?+
Yes. Systems containing 5 tonnes CO₂e or more of F-Gas require mandatory leak checks at intervals set by the regulations. We carry out, document and certify these on your behalf.
Can you remove old R22 systems?+
Yes. R22 is banned for top-up. We safely recover the refrigerant, decommission the old equipment and dispose of it under WEEE / F-Gas rules, then design and install a modern replacement.
